The People Perspective

Heartfelt connections in  Photography

Traveling and photographing brings me peace. I can lose myself completely in the beauty of nature, the beauty of faces and the beauty of human interactions.

My Aspiration

My travels began around 2005, initially driven by a desire to explore new countries. Over time, this curiosity has deepened and expanded, evolving into a passion for understanding cultural identity, indigenous peoples, and their rights and territories.

I am eager to further develop my skills in documentary photography and am very committed to expanding my knowledge in the areas of human rights, indigenous communities, environmental issues, and land rights. My goal is to not only document but also to contribute to a greater understanding of these issues.

Through photography, I aim to bring distant places, cultures, and people closer together by capturing the essence of everyday life, human interactions, and the realities we face. My work seeks to reveal the intense beauty of the world around us while also highlighting the struggles and raw truths that shape our existence.

I strive to create photography that resonates on a personal level, evoking a sense of empathy and understanding.  I seek to capture the depth and complexity of human experience. Photography, for me, is a way to explore my own dualities and the dualities of other peoples lives.

My wish for collaboration

I am actively seeking collaborations with organizations dedicated to promoting fairness, equality, and justice. I bring a strong ability to merge strategic, analytical thinking with practical fieldwork.

My primary interests lie in partnering with companies in the regenerative agriculture sector, as well as those in the coffee and cacao industries. I am also focused on organizations in the social justice space, including NGOs and other advocacy groups. Additionally, I am open to working with journalists, leveraging my photography skills to visually document and enhance their stories.

Over the next two years, I’ll be based in both Europe (The Netherlands) and Latin America. If you believe there’s an opportunity for collaboration or if you’re interested in exchanging thoughts, ideas, and visions, I would love to connect. Feel free to reach out: [email protected]

My Way of Working

I love immersing myself in a new environment and taking the time to truly get to know a region, its communities, honoring traditions and ways of life, while fostering genuine, meaningful connections. I aim to bring humility, respect, and a strong sense of curiosity, ensuring that collaboration remains at the heart of all endeavors.

I prefer to spend several days in a region, slowly adapting to the surroundings and building connections with people. I usually wait a few days before taking out my camera, as I believe the best way to create authentic human connections is by spending time together, whether through conversations or shared silence.

I use a Nikon Z6 II camera, delivering high image quality and dynamic range. Paired with a 24-200mm zoom lens, this setup allows me to capture both intimate portraits and distant subjects with sharpness and clarity. I can consistently produce professional-grade images, even in challenging conditions.
